With Christmas just around the corner, we wanted to share with you all a fun spa DIY that you could not only treat yourself to, but your friends and family as well this Holiday Season! This peppermint foot soak is super easy to make, and adds a festive touch to your pedicure this time of year. Package them up for your friends with a nail polish or two, and you have the perfect gift for any lovely lady on your list!
You will need:
– Mason jars
– Epsom Salt
– Peppermint Oil
– Ribbon, scrapbook paper, glitter, or whatever else you would like to decorate the jars with.
Mix together a bag of Epsom salt with 8 to 10 drops of peppermint oil. Scoop the mixture into the Mason jars, and decorate as desired!
You all know we love adding sweet treats to our DIY posts. There was no better sweet temptation to include this time than good old fashioned peppermint bark. This recipe is so super simple, and it’s delicious! Package up some of the bark with a ribbon, and you have another easy holiday gift!
– Crushed candy canes, to yield 1 cup
– 2 pounds white chocolate
– Peppermint flavorings, optional
Place candy canes in a plastic bag and hammer into 1/4-inch chunks or smaller. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler. Combine candy cane chunks with chocolate (add peppermint flavoring at this point if desired.) Pour mixture onto a cookie sheet layered with parchment or waxed paper and place in the refrigerator for 45 minutes or until firm. Remove from cookie sheet and break into pieces (like peanut brittle).
